Historique :	Ce couplage d'autorails à voie normale, ou autocars sur rails Verney LP 48, est le seul exemplaire subsistant encore en France. A l'origine, durant la guerre de 1939-1945, des autocars fonctionnant au gazogène ont été utilisés sur les voies ferrées. Juste après la Guerre, des autocars sur rails, fonctionnant au diésel, ont continué à être utilisés pendant quelques années, notamment sur les lignes rurales, en particulier celle de Mamers à Saint-Calais, où ils pouvaient servir en couplage réversible.
