Historique :	Cette voiture à voyageurs B 51 de deuxième classe de l'ex-réseau Tramway de Vendée a été construite en 1896 à cinq exemplaires par les ateliers Carel Frères au Mans. Elle a été mise en service sur la ligne à voie métrique Challans-Fromentine, longue de 24 kilomètres, inaugurée le 11 mai 1896 et fermée le 1er octobre 1949. Cette voiture à caisse en bois latté vernis, avec plates-formes d'extrémité, était équipée de deux essieux et d'un frein à main, les banquettes étant en bois. Le roulement consiste en une plate-forme à bogies provenant de Pologne. L'éclairage était assuré par des lampes à pétrole, remplacées en 1924 par l'éclairage électrique, par le biais d'une dynamo. A l'époque, son installation de chauffage par circulation d'eau chaude par thermosiphon constituait une nouveauté. La chaudière était montée sur une des plates formes et l'eau chaude circulait dans des tuyaux faisant office de radiateurs et fixés le long des parois. Le chargement en charbon était assuré, lors des arrêts, par le chef de train.
